Case Point Basic is $49.95 Per month with no upfront fees. Case Point Pro is $49.95 Per Month with a $99.95 upfront set up fee.
What happens after I purchase Case Point?
After you purchase Case Point you will be sent an email asking for some needed information to customize your program, if you decided on the Professional Version. Once we receive this information from you we will integrate it into the program. It usually takes about 24 hours for this to be completed.
Once these custom additions are completed you will receive another email from us with a link to download your software. This email will include detailed instructions to assist in the installation of Case Point. We are available for technical and installation assistance by phone if needed.
Why do I have to pay a monthly fee for this software?
Case Point is a dual stage software program. The main program itself is installed on your computers within your office or on a laptop for full access when out of the office.
The second part of the program is accessed by a secured website. This website is only accessible with a username and password. Your monthly fee covers the expenses of this secured website and the web-server. Any uploads or entries you make within the program are stored on this secured web server, remain on your computer, and are viewable by accessing the case through the web-portal feature or the software itself.
What are the required programs and system requirements for Case Point?
Case Point requires the following system programs and requirements to work properly:
- Windows Operating System (XP, Vista, Windows 7)
- Microsoft Word 2000-2010
- Internet connection
*Case Point does not work with MAC.
What happens to my files that I upload in Case Point?
Case Point will store a copy of any uploaded files on the secured web-server. The original files will remain in place on your computer as well.
This allows for sharing or viewing files among permitted users.
Can I backup my Case Point data file?
Yes, you can easily create a backup file and save it to your computer.
What happens if I don’t know how to use some of the program features?
Case Point is very user friendly. The program is easy to navigate and has many “quick link” buttons as well as several drop-down menus. If you still have questions you can visit the Case Point You Tube channel where there are several video tutorials available to watch. Who has access to case information on the secured website?
The information that you allow to be viewed over the website is only accessible with a username and password. You, as an administrator, will assign these usernames and passwords to your Investigators and clients. You may change or deactivate the log-in ability of anyone at any time.
